FAQ
I recommend starting lessons around age six.
Pre-recorded (asynchronous) lessons may work well for younger students. Feel free to schedule a free consultation to determine the best plan for your child.
You'll need:
• an acoustic piano or a keyboard with weighted keys (see my blog post here for more info)
• a lesson book and activity book. Books will be assigned to you during your free consultation, and are available for purchase from my website.
• a stable internet connection
• a device with a camera and internal microphone (eg. iPad, iMac or a computer with an external webcam)
• a video/audio conference platform (I prefer Zoom, but Skype, WhatsApp and FaceTime are fine too!)
• a willingness to learn
You'll need:
• a concert snare drum or practice pad (contact me for more info about this)
• a keyboard instrument, such as a marimba, xylophone, or glockenspiel
• sticks and mallets
